Kettle Moraine School District

Region:

Survey Highlights:

  • The Kettle Moraine School District has implemented a new compensation system based on completing approved micro-credentials.  Administration will select which teachers are able to make it to the highest level, the "Lead Educator" level. Those entering the District as "initial educators" will receive one thousand dollars for each year of service up to 3 years.

  • In this compensation sytem, the only way to earn more than $60,000 per year is to move towards administration or to have a Ph.D. Additional stipends may be given for teachers who are Google certified or National Board certified. Current teachers making more than $60,000 per year will not have their salaries reduced.

  • This district has a track record of occasionally pursuing the non-renewal of teachers' contracts based on performance, with little prior warning and no chance for the teacher to improve.
