This school district is located in Marinette County. By a strong majority, the residents of this county are strong Trump supporters, and spent 2012-2018 Standing With Walker. Not surprisingly, public education in this county suffers from a lack of support from many county residents who are strong MAGA supporters.

Nearly every yard in the county that has a sign proclaiming support for Trump and/or contempt for President Biden and those who support him. FJB signs are more prevalent than the American flag in most areas of Marinette County. Since the MAGA Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin enacted Act 10 in 2011, teachers in  every school district in this county have suffered significant salary and benefit cuts imposed by MAGA-controlled school boards.  Woe to anyone, especially a public school teacher, that doesn't openly support Trump or who dares to openly support Biden or any Democratic candidate.

Average teacher pay in this county ranges from $43,908 to $57,279. The Coleman school district average teacher salary was one of the higher ones in Marinette County at $54,528.  The increase in average teacher salary since 2011  was 15.3%, which was below the rate of inflation.

Though the Coleman school board was not able to maintain the value of the average teacher salaries by giving teacher pay raises equal to the rate of inflation, there was no such restriction on the pay increases for the Superintendent. The Superintendent received a pay raise of 42.2%, which was nearly THREE TIMES greater than the increase in average teacher salaries.

For the above reasons, we rate the career employment potential for teachers in this district as a Dead End job.
