This school district is located in Dodge County, which in one of the most rabid Trump supporting Wisconsin counties. Not surprisingly, public education in this county suffers from a lack of support from the mostly MAGA county residents. 

Since the MAGA Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin enacted Act 10 in 2011, teachers in every school district in this county have suffered significant salary and benefit cuts imposed by majority MAGA school boards. The Beaver Dam school district average teacher salary was  $63,189. Like every other Dodge County school district, the increase in average teacher salary since 2011 was far below the rate of inflation; for Beaver Dam it was 18.3%. 

The Beaver Dam school board did prioritize keeping the Superintendent happy by increasing the Superintendent pay by 33.2%. 

Beaver Dam teachers have also been slammed with severe benefit cuts, most notably the school board eliminating all deferred compensation for teacher post-retirement benefits, screwing many teachers out of well over one hundred thousand dollars.

Teachers' District Post-Retirement Benefits Eliminated

Several years ago, the Beaver Dam school board eliminated all post-retirement benefits that teachers had negotiated in lieu of salary and benefit increases before 2011.  Beaver Dam is a district run by a MAGA Republican School Board and right wing administration that continually dumps more expectations and a suffocating workload on teachers, with minimal increases in compensation. We urge all prospective employees to consider this District's track record of Broken Promises to teachers when considering employment in this district.
