This school district is located in Waupaca County. By a strong majority, the residents of this county are strong Trump supporters, and spent 2019-2018 Standing With Walker  to denigrate public school teachers at every opportunity. Not surprisingly, public education in this county suffers from a lack of support from the many county residents who are strong MAGA supporters.

Nearly every yard in this county that has a sign proclaiming support for Trump and/or contempt for President Biden and those who support him. FJB signs are more prevalent than the American flag in most areas of Waupaca County.  Woe to anyone living in this county, especially a public school teacher, that doesn't openly support Trump or who dares to openly support Biden or any Democratic candidate.

Like most predominantly MAGA supporting Wisconsin counties, teacher pay and benefits in this county are pretty low. Average teacher pay in this county ranges from $50,345 to $58,897.

The New London school district average teacher salary was on the higher end in Waupaca County at $57,713.  The increase in average teacher salary since 2011  was 13.7%, which was well below the rate of inflation.

The Superintendent received a pay increase of 21.7% during the same time period. We suspect that the New London school district is experiencing some pretty severe financial problems, likely caused by some combination of declining enrollment, aging facilities that require costly maintenance, and the effects of years of severe underfunding of public schools by the Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin.

While we wish only the best for New London and every school district that is struggling to make ends meet due to over 4 BILLION dollars in defunding of public schools by the Republican Party, in good conscience we cannot recommend any bright young talented teacher to seek employment in this district. We rate career potential in this district as a Dead End job.

Estimated Average Teacher Income Loss Since 2011 From Act 10
$155,358

The Republican Dictatorship that has Ruled Wisconsin Since 2011 has underfunded public schools by over 4 Billion dollars in order to provide massive tax cuts to the wealthiest individual taxpayers and big business and manufacturers by severely reducing teacher salaries & benefits.
