Not surprisingly, public education in this county suffers from a lack of support from many county residents who are strong MAGA supporters.

Since the MAGA Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin enacted Act 10 in 2011, teachers in nearly every school district in this county have suffered significant salary and benefit cuts imposed by MAGA-controlled school boards.

The buildings in this district are literally falling apart, but residents refuse to support numerous building referendums to fix the buildings. Loud opposition screams "Make the Teachers Pay For It" at school board meetings. Teachers and administrators are fleeing this district as soon as they can find another job. The residents of this district even tried to push the district into insolvency and turn it over to the State to run. 

The Palmyra Eagle school board cut the Superintendent salary by 36% since 2011. This is a school district located in an upper class suburban area, with the majority of it's residents VERY Anti-public education and EXTREMELY Anti-Teacher. We urge extreme caution for any teacher considering working for this school district.
