Kenosha County is definitely purple Wisconsin with about 51% voting for Trump and Standing With Walker from 2011 to 2018. Average teacher salaries in this county range from $50,409 to $74,590.

Likely owing to it's proximity to northern Illinois, most districts gave teachers double digit  raises in order to stem the exodus of teachers to the much higher paying districts in northeastern Illinois. While not as good as Minnesota, many Wisconsin teachers could see $10,000 pay raises or more by migrating to the higher salaries and better schools located in northern Illinois.
