This district is located adjacent to the Minnesota/Iowa border. The Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin continues to defund public schools while Minnesota just sent a 2 BILLION dollar funding increase to keep it's public schools #1 in America. Wisconsin is declining while Minnesota is the economic engine of the Midwest.

We strongly urge prospective teaching candidates to leave school districts like this for the much higher pay and benefits offered in Minnesota districts. Stay out of Iowa as that state screws teachers even worse than the MAGA Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin.

Average teacher salaries for in Grant County range from $48,179 to $62,095. Politically, this is Trump Country with about 56% of the voters supporting Trump and Standing With Walker before Trump. 

The average teacher salary for the Potosi school district is the low end in the Grant County salary range, coming in at $51,848. Since July 2011, the average teacher salary in this school district has only increased by 23.8% which is about equal to the rate of inflation. 

The Potosi school board should be credited with trying to keep both their teachers and the Superintendent up with inflation. The Superintendent's raise was about the same as the teachers' raises, with the Superintendent getting 21.1%.
