This district is located adjacent to the Minnesota border. The Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin continues to defund public schools while Minnesota just sent a 2 BILLION dollar funding increase to keep it's public schools #1 in America. Wisconsin is declining while Minnesota is the economic engine of the Midwest.

Even though the average teacher salaries increased above the inflation rate since 2011, we still strongly urge prospective teaching candidates to leave Republican voting school districts like this one for the much higher pay and benefits offered in Minnesota districts. If you have to teach in Wisconsin, this school district is one of the best choices in SW Wisconsin, but moving to Minnesota is STILL the superior move for excellent young teachers.

The average teacher salaries in the Praire du Chein school district have increased above the inflation rate since 2011 with a 32.3% increase to just over $55,000, which is the highest average teacher salary in Crawford County by several thousand dollars. For this reason, we rate the career potential of teachers in the Praire du Chien school district as being Likely a Good Place to Work.

Even more significantly, the school board increased the pay of the Superintendent by over 50% during the same time period, showing that there must be ample funds to move teacher salaries upward even more.

Sick of the School Board Lavishing Big Raises on the Superintendent While Screwing Teachers?

Time to Send a Message to the School Board.....

Without a Guarantee of a BIG RAISE for signing your contract for the 2024-25 SY,

Make your School District WAIT until the week of June 12th to return your contract.

All contracts due by Saturday June 15th.

This is one of over 200 Wisconsin school districts  have SCREWED teachers (50,000+) since 2011 while giving MASSIVE pay raises to the Superintendent.

Make your District value YOUR RETURN for next year as much as they value the Superintendent

Unless they offer at least a CPI raise for all teachers,

Hold off on returning your signed contract until June 12-14th.
