This district is located adjacent to the Minnesota border. The Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin continues to defund public schools while Minnesota just sent a 2 BILLION dollar funding increase to keep it's public schools #1 in America. Wisconsin is declining while Minnesota is the economic engine of the Midwest.
We strongly urge prospective teaching candidates to leave Republican voting school districts like this one for the much higher pay and benefits offered in Minnesota districts.
The average teacher salaries in the Seneca school district have increased at about two-thirds the inflation rate since 2011 with a 16.9% increase to just under $52,000. We do not feel that this is a result of the defunding of public schools by the Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin because the Seneca school board found plenty of money to give the Superintendent an inflation-destroying raise of nearly 58% during the same time period, one of the highest raises in Wisconsin!!
The minimal pay increase since July 2011, especially in comparison to the HUGE raise lavished on the Superintendent are why we rated the career potential of this district as a Dead End job.
Planning on Returning to Teach in this District Next Year?
Have All Teachers Received CPI Pay Increases the Past 2 Years?
2023 CPI was 8.00%

No???
Sick of the School Board Lavishing Big Raises on the Superintendent While Screwing Teachers?
Time to Send a Message to the School Board.....
Without a Guarantee of a BIG RAISE for signing your contract for the 2024-25 SY,
Make your School District WAIT until the week of June 12th to return your contract.
All contracts due by Saturday June 15th.
This is one of over 200 Wisconsin school districts have SCREWED teachers (50,000+) since 2011 while giving MASSIVE pay raises to the Superintendent.
Make your District value YOUR RETURN for next year as much as they value the Superintendent.
Unless they offer at least a CPI raise for all teachers,
Hold off on returning your signed contract until June 12-14th.
