This district is located adjacent to the Minnesota border. The Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin continues to defund public schools while Minnesota just sent a 2 BILLION dollar funding increase to keep it's public schools #1 in America. Wisconsin is declining while Minnesota is the economic engine of the Midwest.
We strongly urge prospective teaching candidates to leave Republican voting school districts like this one for the much higher pay and benefits offered in Minnesota districts.
The average teacher salaries in the Seneca school district have increased at about two-thirds the inflation rate since 2011 with a 27.7% increase to just under $56,583.
We do not feel that this is a result of the defunding of public schools by the Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin because the Seneca school board found plenty of money to give the Superintendent an inflation-destroying raise of nearly 68% during the same time period, one of the highest raises in Wisconsin!!
We are torn between rating this district as a Dead End job or one that Might Be a Good Place to Work. The Seneca school district has made some strides towards paying teachers a living wage in recent years, but we're chagrined to see that this district continues to lavish $$$ on the Superintendent at the expense of teacher salaries.
