This school district is located in Outagamie County. The majority of residents in this county are Trump supporters, and spent 2011-2018 Standing With Walker supporting his efforts to screw teachers out of 50 years of improvements to salaries and benefits.
Even though Scott Walker is no longer Wisconsin's governor, residents of this county are solid MAGA Trump supporters with minimal support or appreciation for the contributions of strong public schools to the overall success of communities and businesses in their county.
Average teacher pay in this county ranges from $53,778 to $63,102.
The Seymour school district average teacher salary was mid-range in Outagamie County at $59,400.
The increase in average teacher salary since 2011 was only 4.9%, which was far below the rate of inflation.
This district increased Superintendent pay by 6.6% during the same period, which makes us concerned that the minimal pay increases for both teachers and the Superintendent belie some serious financial problems for this district, likely due to a combination of declining enrollment and insufficient state funding from the Republican Dictatorship that Rules Wisconsin.
It has been our experience that when both the increase in average teacher salaries and Superintendent pay are in the low single digits, that the career potential for teachers in this district is essentially a DEAD END job.
