This school district is located in Fond du Lac County, which in one of the most rabid Trump supporting Wisconsin counties. Not surprisingly, public education in this county suffers from a lack of support from the mostly MAGA county residents.

Since the MAGA Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin enacted Act 10 in 2011, teachers in every school district in this county have suffered significant salary cuts due to pay increases falling far below the inflation rate.

We cannot understand how this school district manages to retain ANY teachers. The Waupun School Board has screwed it's teachers SO BADLY that the average teacher salary in 2023-24 was LOWER than the average teacher salary in 2010-11. Literally NO PAY RAISES in 15 YEARS!!!! Who stays in a crap hole like this?  

The Waupun district is one of less than ten Wisconsin school districts that screwed it's teachers so completely as to drive the average teacher salary lower than it was 15 years ago. No wonder this district is always posting teacher "opportunities" on WECAN. Kwik-Trip is a better career choice than teaching here.

When you screw teachers into the ground, you are able to make sure the Superintendent stays happy. While slashing teacher salaries, the School Board found enough money to give the Superintendent a 33.7% raise since 2011.
