The Average Teacher salary in this district increased just below the inflation rate since 2011, leading to our rating of this district as Might Be a Good District to work in. This level of salary increase could be explained by some teacher turnover and the retirements of much higher paying teachers with 25+ years of experience.
While we are pleased to see the positive salary growth for teachers in this school district, we have to note that this increase flies into the headwinds of the over 4 billion dollars in cuts to public schools in Wisconsin that every school district has dealt with since the MAGA Republican dictatorship began ruling Wisconsin in 2011.
While this might be a good district to teach in, we still feel that newly certified Wisconsin teachers' career potential would be far better served by leaving Wisconsin for adjacent Minnesota which continues to make quality public education it's #1 state priority.
This district is located about 25 miles from the Minnesota border. The Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin continues to defund public schools while Minnesota just sent a 2 BILLION dollar funding increase to keep it's public schools #1 in America. Wisconsin is declining while Minnesota is the economic engine of the Midwest.
We strongly urge prospective teaching candidates to leave heavily Republican voting school districts like this one for the much higher pay and benefits offered in Minnesota districts. Moving 25 miles could result in an immediate salary increase of $10-15,000 which is more in just ONE YEAR than you might ever see during your entire career if you remain teaching in the MAGA Republican Dictatorship that rules Wisconsin.

Sick of the School Board Lavishing Big Raises on the Superintendent While Screwing Teachers?
Time to Send a Message to the School Board.....
Without a Guarantee of a BIG RAISE for signing your contract for the 2024-25 SY,
Make your School District WAIT until the week of June 12th to return your contract.
All contracts due by Saturday June 15th.
This is one of over 200 Wisconsin school districts have SCREWED teachers (50,000+) since 2011 while giving MASSIVE pay raises to the Superintendent.
Make your District value YOUR RETURN for next year as much as they value the Superintendent.
Unless they offer at least a CPI raise for all teachers,
Hold off on returning your signed contract until June 12-14th.
